Hi, I'm Cam Lamblin

Burnt out marketing copywriter turned novel writer

Life is for living

I recently turned forty and I don’t have time not to be following my dreams. Life is short, I want to make the most of it and enjoy every moment if I can. I also strongly believe that, in this day and age, creativity is a form of resistance. That’s why it’s so important for me to share my novel with the world and to encourage every aspiring author to keep on writing. After all, we don’t all get to come back for a second chance at life.

Mental health matters

Like Amy, I often struggle with anxiety and I’m familiar with depression. Over time, I’ve learned to manage my negative emotions and my imposter syndrome by doing things that bring me joy, by accepting myself with all my imperfections and by allowing myself to fail. I hope that my novel makes you smile, but most importantly, that it allows you to escape the everyday hassles at least for a few hours.

In love with London

As far as I remember, I’ve always wanted to live in London. To me, this is the best city in the world, a forever changing melting pot that’s also steeped in history, a cosmopolitan city that has offered me opportunities I would never have come across elsewhere. I met my partner and many of my best friends in London. That’s where I wrote my debut novel. My love for this city shines through in my work.
